Street work begins Tuesday in Seneca

A reminder to motorists, Thrift Development starts road construction work Tuesday on a section of North Townville Street in Seneca. The roadwork, between 5th Street and Northside Elementary School, continues through Aug. 17. As always, motorists should slow down and watch for workers in road construction zones.

A Tamassee woman died in a two-vehicle collision on North Highway 11 near Lay Mill Road early Saturday morning. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis reports that 58-year-old Deborah Gray died at the scene of blunt force trauma.
