It seems everyone is on Twitter these days.  Joining the list is the School District of Oconee County.  You can follow the official School District of Oconee County twitter account @OconeeSC_school for announcements, reminders, and other info regarding the school district.

The Oconee County Council will hold a noon meeting on April 21 in Duke Energy’s World of Energy Meeting Room, located next to the Oconee Nuclear Station, off Hwy 130 in Seneca in order to receive the fiscal year 2014-2015 budget request from Tri-County Technical College.

A make-up date and new location have been arranged for a couple of Oconee County political candidates. The next Limited Government for Oconee County meeting will be 5:30pm Wednesday at Seneca’s Gignilliat Community Center. Both candidates, Paul Cain and Andy Inabinet who are running for the Oconee County Council District 3 seat have agreed to be there.

Due to the City of Seneca’s election today, the city’s regularly scheduled council meeting, usually on the second Tuesday of each month has been moved to Thursday, March 13 at 6pm.

The Planning and Zoning Division of the Oconee County Community Development Office announces that the Scenic Highway Committee meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled due to last minute scheduling conflicts with some members. The conflicts would leave the Committee without a quorum. A new meeting date will be established in the very near future.

As the noon hour closed yesterday, only one candidate filed to succeed retiring Judge Alex Macaulay of West Union. Seneca Attorney Scott Sprouse is the lone candidate who filed with the State Judicial Merit Selection Commission.
