Unemployment rate drops at the local, state and national level.  According to the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, Oconee County’s unemployment rate fell to 7.4% in April from March’s 7.8%.  Anderson County’s jobless figure dropped to 6.8% in April from March’s 7.2%.  Pickens County posted 6.2% unemployment in April, down from March’s 6.6%.  The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment […]
