Fair Play Man arrested for Assault and Battery

A Fair Play man has been arrested for allegedly beating a man with a metal pipe. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reports that 27-year-old Michael Chatham Jones stands charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. The incident occurred on Steve Nix Road in Seneca on May 25. Bond for Jones was set at $100,000.
