The twelve-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks fell to 13-seed Mississippi State 70-59 on Wednesday night in the opening round of the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Junior guard Bruce Ellington led South Carolina with 13 points.  With the loss, South Carolina falls to 14-18 overall and 4-14 in SEC play.

Three first year pitchers combined to allow just five hits and one unearned run to lead Clemson to a 3-1 win over Charleston Southern at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.  The Tigers, who improved to 17-0 all-time against Charleston Southern, upped their record to 10-5 on the season.

LB Dantzler homered twice for the first time in his career and drove in a career-high six runs as South Carolina defeated Davidson 12-4 on Wednesday evening at Carolina Stadium. The Gamecocks improve to 15-2 with the win.

The South Carolina Gamecocks recorded 14 hits with nine different players tallying at least one hit on the way to a 12-3 victory over USC Upstate on Tuesday night in non-conference action at Carolina Stadium. With the win, South Carolina improves to 14-2 on the year.

Clemson senior Devin Booker was named third-team All-ACC by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association. After being tied 32-32 at the half, South Carolina fell to Texas A&M, 74-56, on Saturday night in SEC play. South Carolina took two of three games against their in-state rivals the Clemson Tigers this weekend.  The Gamecocks made a bookend of the weekend with a 6-0 shutout on Friday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium as well as an 8-0 shutout of the Tigers on Sunday at Carolina Stadium. Clemson won Saturday’s game at Fluor Field in Greenville, 6-3.
