Two righthanders combined to allow only one of 13 baserunners to score in Liberty’s 3-1 win over Clemson in the Columbia Regional at Carolina Stadium on Sunday afternoon.  The Tigers, who went 1-2 in the NCAA Regional in Columbia, end their season with a 40-22 record.

The NCAA Columbia Regional game between South Carolina and Liberty was suspended until today due to severe weather in the Columbia area. The game resumes at 1:05pm at Carolina Stadium. For the second consecutive year, Clemson will travel to the Columbia Regional, hosted by South Carolina. Clemson will face Liberty in the first round on Friday at 1pm. South Carolina will face Saint Louis in the first round on Friday at 7pm.

Clemson will open its ACC Tournament slate by playing N.C.State tonight at 7pm at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in N.C. The round-robin format, in its seventh year, features two separate four-team brackets that guarantees all eight teams will play a minimum of three games and maximum of four games during the ACC Tournament. South Carolina begins SEC Tournament action tonight and will face Mississippi State, who defeated Missouri 2-1 on Tuesday in 17 innings. The Gamecocks finished the regular season 39-16 and 17-12 in the SEC. It will be the final game tonight, time still to be determined. The game will be televised live on CSS.
