Celebrate Oconee! on Oct. 12

Oconee County continues its sesquicentennial or 150th anniversary with Celebrate Oconee! All proceeds will benefit Oconee Heritage Center (OHC) museums, tells OHC Director and Curator Leslie Hagerty. “It takes place on Friday, Oct. 12, from 6-9pm, at Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek. Tickets are $150 per couple and $75 per individual. This event will feature live music by The Wobblers, dinner, a live auction and an $1,868 raffle. The official sesquicentennial sculpture will be unveiled and guests will also be encouraged to participate in the creation of an on-site collaborative painting.” Tickets are available at the OHC at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in downtown Walhalla or online at www.oconeeheritagecenter.org.
