Challenge issued to FFA Students

The 2013 edition of the Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair will be held October 1- 5, at 178 Hayfield Road near Westminster.  This year’s fair will be centrally located near the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 123 across from Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative.  A challenge is going out to members of the Future Farmers of America chapters of Oconee County high schools.  Stanley Gibson, president of the Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair gives details.  “What we want to do is try to get as many young folks involved with the fair as possible.  So, if you have a child that is in FFA or 4H, ask the advisor what they are doing at the fair and how to get involved.  Get in touch with the folks at Clemson Extension, 4H and FFA to learn what they are doing at the fair.  We would love to have more participation from our youngsters at the fair this year.” To learn more about the Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair, visit www.carolinafoothillsheritagefair.org.
