Chamber wants to be Conduit of Info for Small Businesses

In 2018, the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce wants to do more for small businesses. They want to become a conduit of information, says Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Vanessa Penton. “We just had our strategic meeting a couple of weeks ago, where we sat down and decided some of the things that we want to see happen this year and a few years out. One of the things is we’re going to be a conduit of information. If somebody is wanting to start a new business, we need to be the gathering point for everything that they need to know in regards to starting a new business. We will partner with the Oconee Economic Alliance, they are a very good partner to bring on with that, so we will be working very closely with them to make sure we are kind of the clearing house of that information in regards to small business startups.” To learn more about the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce and the services and benefits they provide to members, visit www.oconeechambersc.com.
