Chick-fil-A of Seneca and Clemson Reopened; Presumptive COVID-19 Diagnosis Returns Negative

Chick-fil-A of Seneca opened last week and now the Clemson location is back open for business again, as well. An employee with the company had a presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19 that, fortunately, turned out to be negative. The store re-opened on Monday. Owner Herb Tyler issued this statement:

“As you know, we temporarily closed the restaurant and asked our Team Members to self-quarantine following a Team Member’s presumed positive diagnosis by a medical professional. I’m pleased to share that individual’s test for COVID-19 came back negative. Our Clemson team has been cleared to return to work according to CDC guidance.

In the meantime, we have taken every precaution to provide a safe dining experience, including having a third-party professional cleaner disinfect and deep clean the restaurant while we were temporarily closed.

When we re-open we will be serving a limited menu in the drive-thru with updated operating hours, Monday through Saturday. Like other Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country, we’re taking preventative measures in our drive-thru, including encouraging outside order takers to wash and sanitize their hands regularly. For a quick, limited-contact experience, we recommend ordering your favorite meal on the Chick-fil-A App and picking it up in the drive-thru.

The Clemson location’s temporary hours are:

Monday through Thursday 8 AM – 3 PM and 4:30 PM – 8 PM
Friday and Saturday 8 AM – 3 PM and 4:30 PM – 9 PM

Thank you for your patience as we worked through this process. I am dedicated to ensuring my Team Members and Guests stay healthy, and I will continue to monitor this closely, as we all are, in the coming weeks and months ahead. We look forward to serving you soon!
