Clemson Police arrest Home Intruder

An arrest has been made in connection to the March 4 home invasion and shooting in Clemson.  Authorities arrested 23-year-old Montrez O’Brien Jones.  He stands charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery and attempted murder. City of Clemson Police said the incident happened at the Goldenwoods apartment complex on Georgetown Street. Investigators said Jones, wearing a black hoodie and armed with a pistol, barged into the victim’s apartment and asked for money. Police said Jones took cash from the victim and two female friends who were with him. Detectives said Jones demanded more cash, and then shot the victim in the upper leg before escaping in a car.  Seneca Police arrested Jones on Saturday and he is being held at the Pickens County Detention Center.
