Clemson Skateboarder hit by Car

A skateboarder was injured after being hit by a vehicle in the City of Clemson Tuesday afternoon.  The Clemson Police Department reports the accident happened around 1pm on Elm Street. According to the report, a person on a skateboard was exiting from Riverbank Commons Apartments onto Elm Street when he rode into the path of the vehicle and was struck.  After receiving a 911 call, officers arrived and found the skateboarder on the side of the road suffering from injuries. The skateboarder was transported to a nearby hospital.  The accident is under investigation by the Clemson Police Department’s Reconstruction Unit with the assistance of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
