Clemson University Classes cancelled due to Power Outage

Clemson University reports that power remains out due to downed poles on Duke Energy transmission lines. Therefore, all Clemson University main campus day and evening classes and activities are cancelled and offices are closed today, April 23. This closure, while weather-related, is an event in which leave will not be forgiven by the Governor. Employees must either take annual leave, take compensatory time, take unpaid leave, or work with their supervisors to work from home or flex their schedules to make up time for today. Many traffic signals are not working. State law requires that drivers treat non-working signals like stop signs and come to a complete stop before proceeding through the intersection.
