Clemson University to Take Part in Moderna Vaccine Study

The COVID-19 Prevention Network is conducting a study at select university campuses across the country, and Clemson University is among them. The study is to learn whether or not the Moderna EUA COVID-19 vaccine stops the spread of coronavirus.

Over about 5 months, 12,000 university students nationwide will get injections of the Moderna EUA COVID-19 vaccine to help learn if vaccinated people can still be infected with COVID-19, and if they are able to spread the virus to other people.

The COVID-19 Prevention Network was formed by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the US National Institutes of Health. For more, visit https://preventcovidu.org/
