The Community First Bank 2018 Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. Golf Tournament announces a $25,000 Hole in One Contest as part of the tournament. The tournament, held this year during Law Enforcement Officers Appreciation Week, will take place at Oconee Country Club, a par-71, 6,051 yard course in Seneca on Friday, May 18, with a noon shotgun start. “The $25,000 Hole in One contest will take place at the par 3 14th hole and we are excited to announce this contest as part of our tournament,” says Jimmy Watt, Public Information Officer for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the coordinator of the Crimestoppers program in Oconee. “In order to give those teams and individuals who have not signed up yet an opportunity to sign up to play in this year’s tournament and to try to win $25,000 should a golfer make a hole in one on the 14th hole, we are extending the team registration deadline to noon on Monday, May 14, or until we reach the maximum number of 25 teams. As of right now, we have 17 teams registered and our limit once again is 25 teams so now is the time to sign up.” Registration forms are available in the pro shop at Oconee Country Club in Seneca and registration will once again be halted either at noon on Monday, May 14, or when the tournament reaches the maximum number of 25 teams registered. Community First Bank will be the title sponsor for this year’s tournament as was announced in a release back on March 15. Also, Oconee Federal Savings and Loan is sponsoring the supper that is being held after the golf tournament while Chick-fil-A of Seneca and Clemson will provide lunch before the tournament begins. Registration for the Community First Bank 2018 Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. Golf Tournament will begin at 10am the day of the tournament. The field will consist of 25 4-man Captain’s Choice teams. The cost per player is $60 or $240 for a team. Door prizes, goodie bags, a closest to the pin and longest drive contest will also be a part of this year’s tournament. Mulligans will also be available for purchase at 2 for $10.
