CONTENT WARNING: Disturbing Charges Field Against Anderson County Teen

Connor Hanks, 18, of Anderson County, is facing multiple charges following an investigation into alleged sex crimes involving children and dogs.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, after receiving several tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, obtained a warrant to search Hanks’ residence. Deputies said that is where they discovered nearly 20 devices containing thousands of child pornography images, some featuring toddlers, and children’s clothing. Hanks reportedly confessed to possessing and distributing the images and engaging in sexual acts with the family’s dogs.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with seven counts of 2nd-degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, eight counts of 3rd-degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Buggery.

Hanks was denied bonds for all charges and remains in custody at the Anderson County Detention Center.
