Countdown has begun for Seneca Fest 2013

The countdown has begun for the City of Seneca’s seventh annual downtown event and Seneca Fest 2013 is sure to please all who attend this year.  The free three-day event kicks off this Thursday, May 23 with a special night of Jazz on the Alley from 6:30-9pm.  Then Seneca Fest 2013 events on Friday, May 24 are scheduled from 3-10pm and on Saturday, May 25 from 10am to 10pm.  Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander is excited about this year’s event. “I love coming because I get to see so many different people and it’s a three-day event, so if you can’t come one day you can come the next and there is always something going on.  We are just looking forward to this year’s event because we have had a lot of interest.  We have sold many tickets to the Charlie Daniels Concert.  The fundraiser for the School District the money they make there helps the teachers here in this community.” There are still some craft vender spots available for Seneca Fest 2013.  Vender spots are just $57.  For more information, contact the City of Seneca at 864-885-2700 to reserve your spot.  Tickets are still on sale for Saturday night’s big finale to Seneca Fest 2013, a live concert at Gignilliat Field featuring the Charlie Daniels Band.  Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at Seneca City Hall or the Shaver Recreation Complex.  A complete listing of events for Seneca Fest 2013 is available on the City’s website at www.seneca.sc.us.  Click on events and then scroll down to Seneca Fest Weekend.
