Country reflects on Pearl Harbor Attack

Today marks the 71^st anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor when the United States was drawn into World War II by Japan’s surprise invasion. President Franklin Roosevelt made this famous statement about Pearl Harbor the next day as he spoke before a joint session of Congress. “Yesterday, December 7, 1941, a date which will live in infamy. The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attack by naval and air forces of the empire of Japan.” The anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack is a sobering reminder of all the brave men and women who have served and sacraficed for our country’s freedoms.
