County Council Chairman Says That New Administrator’s Career With Oconee County Helped Amanda Brock Land The Job

(Seneca, SC)——————————–Late last week, Oconee County Council voted unanimously to remove the interim tag from Amanda Brock’s title to make Brock the Oconee County Administrator. After the meeting last week, County Council Chairman Julian Davis was asked if the recent discovery of pay raises played any part in Brock’s promotion and Davis stated “I would say no” even though the timing for both was close. Davis comments further on the selection of Brock for the County Administrator position.

Davis said that Brock’s career in Oconee County Government is what helped her get the job as County Administrator. Davis says the County deserves someone who has put the County first and that the credentials for job are more than just the education aspect since Brock has worked with several of the past administrators and her experience in seeing the positives and the negatives in that aspect is important.

Davis also stated that the ability for Brock to step forward and do the job does mean a lot.
