Crimestoppers of OC receives Donation from Walmart

Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. announces a recent donation made by Walmart Corporation. The $500 donation will go into the Crimestoppers general account fund, which will be used to pay rewards for tips that are called into Crimestoppers that lead to arrests in Oconee County and for the purchase of promotional materials. The donation was made after the Crimestoppers organization applied for a grant, says Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt, who is the Sheriff’s Office Coordinator for Crimestoppers. “We are so thankful to all industry, businesses, organizations and individuals who continue to support the Crimestoppers program here in Oconee County. We are extremely grateful for this donation via a grant from Walmart Corporation. Crimestoppers is a non-profit organization and without donations and support for our yearly fundraisers, law enforcement would be without this important tool to help solve crimes right here in Oconee County. When you support Crimestoppers, you are supporting the men and women of law enforcement all across Oconee County and with this donation, Walmart has demonstrated that they support all law enforcement here in Oconee County and those whom they serve as well.”
