Cruzin on Main Trip Winner

The winner of this year’s grand prize from Cruzin on Main presented by the City of Seneca has been announced, explains Seneca Events Coordinator Riley Johnson.  “Our winner is Tommy Darragh from West Union.  This is something that Donnie “Big Un” White, who is the host of Cruzin on Main came to me and asked about maybe doing a grand prize winner for the Cruzin on Main because we have so many loyal cruisers that show up on the first Saturday of every month.  We just thought this would be a neat way to generate tourism to our city and of course, it did because we averaged around 100 to 130 cars the first Saturday of every month.  For some of the merchants downtown that created some great income because when they come into town, they got to eat somewhere.  Therefore, we are very happy.  Tommy gets two nights in Pigeon Forge, TN, during the rod run, which is the big car show in the fall.  All the classic car cruisers know what I am talking about.  In addition, he gets to see Dollywood and Dixie Stampede, so it is going to be a tremendous weekend and he is very excited.  Get ready because next year we are going to do something even bigger in Myrtle Beach.  But, Tommy is our winner and thanks to everybody for coming out.” Air, Land and Sea Travel in Seneca provided the vacation package to the Big Fall Car Show in Pigeon Forge, TN.  Johnson says Cruzin on Main continues for another two months this year.  “It is the first Saturday of every month and it goes through October.  We are gearing up for the first Saturday in September and it is going to be during a Clemson game.  The Clemson versus South Carolina State starts around noon and we are going to advertise to cruisers to drive their classic cars to the game and then afterwards come over to Seneca and spend the evening with us.  It goes through October and I tell you what it is just a fun time for everybody.  I can’t say enough about Donnie “Big Un” White, he does a tremendous job and that is why we call it the Big Show.”  Cruzin on Main is free to attend.
