Dalton honored at OC Chamber Mixer celebrating First Year

Monday night, the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce hosted a mixer to celebrate a year of working together as a combined Chamber of Commerce as well as to honor and thank Mr. Charles E. Dalton, President and CEO of Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative, for his long time support of the business community and economic development of Oconee County, says Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Vanessa Penton. “We were excited to not only celebrate the coming together of the three chambers but how everything has worked so well together. Everybody understands the need that we all are in this together and it was shown last night at the mixer. The format that we chose allowed our members to get to know each other and meet folks that they may not have seen in a long time, so it was really good and a well attended event. We chose this opportunity to award our very first Excellence in Leadership Award and Mr. Charles Dalton was the epitome of that award. he set the standard, I think, for coming leaders and we still have a lot of those type leaders in the county, so we’ll be excited to award many Excellence in Leadership Awards in the coming years.” The mixer was held at the Lighthouse Restaurant Event Center in Seneca.
