Deceased motorcyclist identified

The Duncan, South Carolina man killed in an Oconee County wreck last night has been identified as Steven Paul Henderson, a captain within the Spartanburg County sheriff’s Office. He was 49- years old. According to Coroner Karl Addis, Henderson was operating a motorcycle that collided head-on around 8:15 last night with a 2004 Chevy SUV on SC 183, the Walhalla-Pickens Highway near Gilbert Drive. State trooper Mitchell Ridgeway said motorcyclist Henderson died at the scene and the driver of the second vehicle, a 2004 Chevy SUV, was taken to the Oconee hospital.
