Decorations going up in Seneca

Proof that Christmas is right around the corner can be seen throughout the City of Seneca. City crews began work this week on installing holiday decorations. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander is grateful to City Administrator Scott Moulder for leading the effort to brighten the holidays for locals and visitors alike. “There is a lot of work going on. When I walked in Mr. Moulder’s office and if you looked at his office two or three weeks ago, you couldn’t walk in it because there was decorations everywhere in boxes. Mr. Moulder, I think, enjoys decorating for Christmas like a lot of us do and I know the crews have really been out there working. So, if you want to see all the Christmas lights on the Monday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, which is our Christmas Parade we will be cutting all the lights on that day and be really kicking off the Christmas season. I really do appreciate Mr. Moulder and I know he is excited about doing the Christmas lights. They say he decorates a lot at his house too. I just appreciate his enthusiasm about all he is doing in downtown Seneca. I had a business owner call me this past week to thank me for Mr. Moulder is doing because he saw him out here on the street working and putting together so many different things. To all our staff at Seneca, thanks to all of you, we do appreciate everything. It is not a one person thing, it is everybody working together to make this community the best we possibly can. So, big thanks to all of them because lots of time they work long hours too. So, thank you for all the hard work that you do.” The community is invited to join Mayor Alexander and members of the Seneca City Council as they light the park and downtown Christmas Tree. It takes place Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at 5pm in Norton-Thompson Park.
