DHEC Confirms 23 Cases of Monkeypox in SC

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Epidemiologist Dr. Linda Bell confirmed 23 cases of monkeypox in South Carolina on Wednesday, while the CDC reported that there are more than 6,000 cases nationwide.

Dr. Bell said that while DHEC has been treating individuals within minutes of being diagnosed, there is a limited supply of the vaccine for monkeypox.
