DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) today announced 220 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, and 12 additional deaths were reported to DHEC.

This brings the total number of people confirmed to have COVID-19 in South Carolina to 6,095 and those who have died to 244. Nine of the deaths occurred in elderly individuals, and three were in middle aged individuals. Two of the deaths, one elderly and one middle aged, were from Anderson County.
