DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 718 new confirmed cases and 6 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, 17 additional confirmed deaths and one new probable death. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 100,431, probable cases to 728, confirmed deaths to 1,966, and 83 probable deaths. In Oconee County, 12 new cases were confirmed positive on Monday; Pickens County added 13 new cases and Anderson County saw 15 enw cases. One COVID-19 related death in Oconee County was confirmed on Monday to have occurred in an elderly patient who passed on Saturday, August 8th.
