DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 199 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and 9 additional deaths. This brings the total number of people confirmed to have COVID-19 in South Carolina to 9,379 and those who have died to 416. Six of the nine deaths occurred in elderly individuals, while three were middle aged persons. Five new cases were confirmed positive Thursday in both Pickens and Anderson Counties, according to DHEC.
