DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

DHEC announced 686 new confirmed cases and 86 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, 11 additional confirmed deaths and 1 new probable death. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 159,433, probable cases to 6,924, confirmed deaths to 3,487, and 221 probable deaths.

On Wednesday, Anderson County reported 53 new cases and one death; Pickens County added 37 more cases, while there were 19 new cases confirmed positive in Oconee County.

Two more classes at Seneca High have been moved to distance learning and placed in quarantine until November 3rd. The two social studies classes are the latest groups to be quarantined from Seneca High, which currently has over 100 students and five classes under quarantine.
