DHEC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 1,366 new confirmed cases and 4 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, and 5 additional confirmed deaths and zero additional probable deaths. There are currently 954 hospital beds occupied by patients who have either tested positive or are under investigation for COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 33,221, probable cases to 99, confirmed deaths to 712, and probable deaths remains 4. The confirmed deaths occurred in four elderly individuals and one was a middle aged person. Anderson County added 11 new cases Sunday, Oconee County had 20 new cases and Pickens County had 27 new cases on Sunday. A one day new case total was set in South Carolina on Saturday with the addition of 1,599 cases confirmed positive.
