DHEC/SDOC COVID-19 Numbers Update

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 613 new confirmed cases and 53 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, 25 additional confirmed deaths and 1 new probable death.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 138,171, probable cases to 3,515, confirmed deaths to 3,085, and 177 probable deaths.

Eight more cases were added in Oconee County; in Pickens County there were thirteen new cases and one death reported; and in Anderson County 54 cases were confirmed positive and one probable case was reported along with four deaths.

Currently there are at least 45 confirmed positive cases within the School District of Oconee County, the latest being two students – one at Walhalla Middle and the other at Keowee Elementary.
