DHEC/SDOC COVID-19 Numbers Update

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 489 new confirmed cases and 43 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, 28 additional confirmed deaths and 10 new probable deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 131,428, probable cases to 2,694, confirmed deaths to 2,968, and 164 probable deaths.

Three new cases were confirmed in Oconee County, as well as one probable death. Pickens County added 17 new cases and Anderson County saw 18 new confirmed and one new probable case and seven COVID-19 related deaths.

There are now at least 39 cases of COVID-19 within the School District of Oconee County, according to school officials.
