DMV late on Stickers
Still waiting on your new decal from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles? Well, you are not alone. Some 33,000 motorists statewide who renewed their vehicle registrations last month are still waiting for license plate stickers. That is all motorists who renewed on December 22 or later have been affected. A Department of Motor Vehicles spokesperson reports that a Connecticut vendor was late in delivering the materials needed to make the new stickers and the department is working to get the stickers out. Motorists can go to their nearest DMV office to renew. There is a 30-day grace period. If the stickers are not in by then, law enforcement will be notified so motorists will not get tickets.
