Don’t Forget to Study during Spring Break

This is a week off for students in the School District of Oconee County as they enjoy spring break.  However, students, especially those at the high school level, are encouraged to spend a little time this week studying.  Seneca High School Guidance Director Karen Trammell offers this advice to spring breakers.  “A lot of people will be headed to the beach or out of town, so I encourage them to stay out of trouble and make good decisions.  Take some time off from school but maybe towards the end of spring break, get back into your homework and review some material so you are not behind when you come back next Tuesday.” Several area high school students will be spending this week on college campuses, adds Trammell.  “We have a lot kids that will be visiting colleges, some that are doing workshops this week.  So, it is a great time to go visit, spend a night on campus, go to class and get a feel of where you might like to go to college.” Students in the School District of Oconee County return to class on Tuesday, April 8.  This year’s spring break is seven days long, thanks to the teacher workday last Friday.
