Duke Energy’s 13th Annual Festival of Trees Supports Oconee County Nonprofits

Duke Energy’s World of Energy education center in Seneca, invites the public to its free 13th Annual Festival of Trees, running Nov. 28, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026 (closed Dec. 24–26 and Jan. 1), with displays open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Twenty-four uniquely decorated trees, sponsored by local businesses, civic groups, and nonprofits, will fill the lobby; visitors may vote for their favorites, and the top three trees will earn $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000 respectively for their chosen nonprofits (last year’s winners were Wilderness Way Girls Camp, Golden Corner Food Pantry, and Oconee History Museum).

Guests are encouraged to bring canned goods or personal hygiene items to support local families in need—donors receive a free reusable grocery bag—and the center also serves as a Toys for Tots drop-off site.

Since the festival began, Duke Energy has donated more than $40,000 to Oconee County nonprofits through this beloved holiday tradition. For details, visit duke-energy.com/WorldOfEnergy or call 864-873-4600.
