Early Morning Porch Fire on Hope Avenue Quickly Extinguished by Seneca Fire Department

At 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, Seneca Fire Department A-Shift responded to a reported structure fire on Hope Avenue, arriving to find the front porch fully involved and the sole resident trapped inside. Crews rapidly knocked down the blaze, safely rescued the homeowner and two dogs, and canceled all mutual aid units. Investigators believe hot coals from a grill were the likely cause. No injuries were reported.
