Early Voting for June 11 Primary Ends Today

Early voting for South Carolina’s Republican and Democratic primaries ends today, ahead of the primary day on June 11. As of Thursday, 2,348 people have voted early, with 378 votes cast that day alone. The elections office at 415 South Pine St., Walhalla, will be open for early voting today from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early voting will not be available on Saturday or Monday. Absentee ballots must be submitted by 7 p.m. on Monday. Voters should bring their ID and can view sample ballots at scvotes.gov. Several seats are up for election in Oconee County, including the Third District Congressional seat, 10th Circuit Solicitor, State House of Representatives, Oconee County Treasurer, and three Oconee County Council seats. Republicans are contesting multiple positions, with one seat available for Democrats.
