Easley Man Arrested for Carjacking Days After Jail Release
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office reports that Cody Moore of Easley was arrested for assault during a carjacking just four days after his release from Greenville County jail. Deputies say Moore confronted an acquaintance in his garage, demanding car keys and a wallet while holding a gun. When the man refused, Moore fired a shot into the floor near his foot before stealing the man’s Honda Accord in Belton, SC, on August 2, and fleeing to Cleveland County, North Carolina. Moore faces charges of larceny, armed robbery, grand larceny, and assault, and is awaiting transfer to the Anderson County Detention Center.
