Easley Man indicted on Child Pornography Charges

An Easley man has been indicted on three counts of possessing child pornography.  United States Attorney Bill Nettles announces that a Federal Grand Jury in Greenville returned an indictment against 26-year-old Wallace Bryant, Jr. of Easley.  He was charged in a three-count indictment with possessing and distributing child pornography.  The maximum penalty Bryant could receive is 10 years imprisonment for possessing child pornography and 20 years imprisonment for distributing child pornography.  The case is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney William Watkins, Jr., of the Greenville office for prosecution.  This case is being brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorney’s Offices, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as identify and rescue victims.  For more information, visit www.projectsafechildhood.gov.
