Eight Arrests Announced In Multi Jurisdictional Narcotics Investigation

(Seneca, SC)—————–A press conference was held yesterday at the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office to announce a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement investigation that has encompassed the last two and one-half years that has led to eight arrests and a search for a ninth individual that is wanted in the investigation.

The agencies involved in the investigation, known as “Operation Promoter,” are the Anderson, Pickens and Oconee County Sheriff’s Office’s, the Clemson and Seneca Police Departments, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, and the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began after a complaint concerning the sale of cocaine.  The complaint led to a group of individuals that were responsible for trafficking large quantities of cocaine and other illegal drugs into the Upstate.

The investigation revealed the bulk quantity of illegal drugs that this organization was responsible for trafficking, which is believed to total approximately 61 kilos of cocaine and other illegal drugs through Oconee, Pickens, Anderson and Greenville counties, according to the release.  The street value of the drugs involved is around $6.1 million dollars.

According to comments from Sheriff Crenshaw, some of the defendant’s works as promoters in the music industry helping musicians find venues and helping to promote albums and new songs being released.

Some of the suspects arrested as part of the investigation include was 27 year old Justin Dimon Alexander, 48 year old James Sebastain Hunter, 30 year old Quantavious Hivar Keels and 32 year old Undre Bias Randolph, all of Seneca.  Also arrested was 42 year old Eugene Malik Boyd of Piedmont, 33 year old Mussie Gersuss Haile of Atlanta, GA, 24 year old Andrew Rafael Ruiz of Six Mile and 22 year old Jordan Thomson of Clemson.

22 year old Trenton Michael Thomas of Seneca has yet to be arrested and anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
