Elderly Man killed in Seneca Crash

An elderly man was killed in a Seneca crash Monday morning. Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the fatal crash on Keowee River Road and Rochester Highway. According to troopers, the 79-year-old Pickens County man was traveling west when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road, over corrected, ran off the left side of the road and overturned in a creek area. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said that the driver died at the scene of the crash. His name will be released after next of kin are notified.
