Emergency Certificates earned at Job Fair

By simply stepping up to the table, learning some safety techniques and then performing them, job seekers were able to earn two emergency certificates during Thursday’s Oconee County Job Fair at the Shaver Recreation Complex in Seneca. Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King said the training was easy and very beneficial. “We came to support and represent Oconee County Government. We have some of the ladies from the office to share information on jobs that are available. Another thing that Emergency Services is providing is two certifications; Hands Only CPR Training and Fire Extinguisher Training. They simply had to step up to the table and take a quick class to get a certificate that they can put with their resume or hopefully come into play if they were ever to have a medical emergency or a fire in their home or business.” Over 100 people received emergency certificates during the three-hour job fair.
