Emergency Preparedness Seminars planned for OC

Are you ready in an emergency? Then Oconee County Emergency Services Director Chief Scott Krein invites you to a seminar. “We are doing Are You Ready Programs for the public to basically get their homes ready for a disaster. It is a book and it walks you completely through natural disasters and any disaster to prepare yourself and your family for that disaster. The biggest thing we want everyone to know is you want to make a plan and that is what we are going to help you do. Then you want to make a kit and stay informed by listening to the radio. By doing this class and being a part, you will get all the tools and information you need to better prepare your family for a disaster.” Seminars take place on March 21 from 5:30 – 7:30 at the Westminster Library and on April 12 from 6 – 8pm at the Walhalla Library.
