Escalating Gas Prices

Gas prices continue their march upward. Lundberg Survey Author Trilby Lundberg says the average price for a gallon of regular gas has risen sharply in the past two weeks.  “Gasoline prices rose another 20 cents in the past two weeks with regular now averaging $3.80.” Lundberg gives the reasons for the dramatic rise in gasoline prices. “This has now been nine weeks of rises seen prices bottomed out in late December, a combination of higher crude oil prices and more recently a refinery turn around and repairs, but this maybe about to come to an end.” The average price for a gallon of regular grade gasoline in South Carolina is $3.57.
