Escaped Ga Prisoner back behind bars

An escaped prisoner from the Franklin County Detention Center is back behind bars, captured by authorities Tuesday. Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas said late Tuesday authorities suspected 20-year-old Keibron Brock was hiding out in his mother’s house on SR 59, so authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence. Last Friday morning, Brock managed to climb over the wall and razor wire of the Franklin County Detention Center in Carnesville and disappear. After his escape, Brock allegedly stole a 2006 gray Cadillac CTS from a home near the jail.  Lookouts were issued for Brock in Georgia and South Carolina. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted with Brock’s capture. At the time of his escape, Brock was awaiting trial on several charges, including burglary, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. Sheriff Thomas said Brock now faces more charges, including escape and theft of a motor vehicle. The investigation into Brock’s escape continues and more arrests are possible.
