Butterfly Classes

South Cove County Park has partnered with folks across the country to save the Monarch butterfly. Our park sits right in the middle of their fall migration route and they need your help! Come to one of the park’s classes and learn aout the Monarchs and their migration. You’ll also learn how to tag a Monarch on its way to Mexico so you can help researchers learn more about their routes and their population’s health. Once you take one of the classes, you’ll be able to go out into the park and capture and tag them. The program is for all ages, but adult supervisors are required for children. Classes are limited, and everything will be provided. To register, call 882-5250.
