Family Fun Day at the Ag Museum

The staff at the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina invites all families to participate in a Family Fun Day on Saturday, Oct. 13. The event starts at 10am and ends at 1pm. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the grounds following the event. Cost for the day is $10 per car. All the activities are designed so the adult members of the family will participate with the younger members and activities can be enjoyed by children ages 5 and up. Activities for this first Family Fun Day will mainly include 19th Century games, taking a guided tour through the museum, taking lessons in the 19th Century one room school house, and performing farm chores. Activities will start at 10am with a group game of Simon Says. From there, participants will move from activity to activity in groups. One or more adults must accompany children and the whole event is designed to get adults to participate with their children. At the end of the event, the staff encourages families to bring a picnic and enjoy a leisurely lunch on the grounds. Families should bring water bottles with their names on them and participants are encouraged to wear closed toed shoes and socks. Food and drink will not be available for purchase.
