Kids Fishing Rodeo

The Andrew Pickens Ranger District is celebrating National Fishing week. The local US Forest Service and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources announce that the annual Kids’ Fishing Rodeo at Burrell’s Ford Campground will be on Saturday, June 9, from 9am until noon. This event is for kids ages 10 and under who must be accompanied by an adult. Rods, reels, tackle, stringers and bait, will not be provided to participants, so please bring your own equipment. To get to the event, travel north on Highway 107 approximately 10 miles from the Highway 28 intersection. Turn left on the Burrell’s Ford Road then turn left into the parking lot for the campground. The gate will be open until 12:30pm to accommodate parking.
