OHC’s Lunch and Learn

The Oconee Heritage Center (OHC) hosts a Lunch and Learn entitled Edible History: Apples in Oconee on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from noon to 1pm. Bring your lunch and learn how apples have been an important part of Oconee County. Join OHC Director and Curator Leslie Hagerty as she explores the history of apple growing in Oconee County. From the apple growing boom in the mid-century to the regrowth of the industry in present day, you will learn the impact that the apple industry has made on Oconee County. The OHC is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in Walhalla.
