Problems and Solutions, Abuse and Addiction

115 Americans die every day from an opioid overdose, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The report shows the number of overdose visits to emergency rooms in 2017 rose significantly. “Problems and Solutions, Abuse and Addiction” is the title of a meeting on Tuesday, April 10, at 6:45pm in the McKissick Theatre of Clemson University’s Hendrix Student Center. The symposium will address the opioids crisis and will feature public health science students and keynote speaker Rich Jones of Faces and Voices of Recovery in Greenville. Jones will discuss various addictions and abuses, including opioids. The community is invited to attend.
